Will Excessive Cranking With The Lanyard Off Foul The Plugs?

Ok without getting into a long and stupid story the readers digest version is... I let someone use the boat (I know dumb but that's another story) and they got out (to a bar) then when they decided to come back they couldn't get either engine to start and cranked the engine until they killed the battery ...then they called me. I went out to the boat later with my jumper pack to start the boat and found the kill switch lanyard laying in the bottom of the boat.

Needless to say I attached the lanyard jumped the boat and off to home I went. However since then I have noticed my port engine doesn't idle very well at cold start up and will stall requiring a re-start. Once the boat is warmed up it starts and runs fine.

Possibly a fouled plug? Thanks

I would think that is logical assumption. There are very few people I would let borrow my boat....actually maybe one.

2stroke engines would definitely foul plugs doing that because they have carbs and a fuel pump that work off the crank case pressures when the engine rotates
