Winter is Coming

not sure not sure how you feel about coming to Middle Wisconsin, but I can get you $400 total inside unheated storage from October-ish until Memorial Day. I think I'm correct on the time frame, but if I'm wrong, I'm not that far off

I was going to suggest the road trip option as well. You're only 4 hours from the U.P. I bet you could find something on the North end of the L.P. or the Eastern end of the U.P. that would be cheap enough to make it worth the trip. Up there, some old trailer tires and a bottle of booze can get you a decent spot for the winter. ;)

Just "thinking out loud."

We live near Milwaukee, but have a lake house 4 hours away. We bought our boat in September of 2015, used it for 6 weeks, then was hard pressed to find a spot to store it. Everything was full up north, and everything around Milwaukee was too expensive, so I found a Storage Unit about half way between. It's cheap and right off of the route we already take to and from. So you may have to get a bit creative, but I'm sure you can find something that would work. We're finally having a 30'x45' Pole Barn built this fall at our lake house, so we hopefully don't have to bring it down to the storage unit and we can save the $80 a month that it costs, but I'm keeping it for now, just in case the barn won't get built before the snow falls.

Dude, you must have a friend that has a yard you can leave it in for the winter, like I said earlier Wrap it and Park it. Give your friend a hundred and see him in May

Also try Fowlerville fair grounds....a buddy of mine parked his camper there a few years ago/inside non-heated.

He said it was cheap but like others no access until spring.

Hey @HangOutdoors, my brother stores his boat inside just north of Grand Rapids...Hamilton. I can ask him about storage, but seeing you are in Royal Oak you would have to commit to the 3.5 hour drive to drop it and get it in the spring. Let me know if you want me to inquire for you?

I can’t help you, but I’m actually kinda looking forward to winter down here in SWFL so I can install all the crap I bought this year lol.

@jetboatjay Thanks for the offer, thats a bit of a drive. Will keep it in mind.

Been raining for six weeks here and I feel like boating season is really just about to start.

One of the reasons I have not traded my 19' for a larger boat. Fits in a normal 2 car garage. Probably the biggest reason honestly.

Just move to Texas and boat all year long. Problem solved. You're welcome.

:)
