This event/record is being heavily censored online including entire threads on thehulltruth being deleted when folks post about the nature. I was in a position to observe this floatilla and parade yesterday as it was where I live. Lets put aside the political nature of it as I feel it was epic in scale and folks would be interested.

Confirmed computer analysis of aerial photos puts this parade that occurred on Lake Murray, SC yesterday at 3,417 boats stretching 16 miles long and 4-10 boats wide. Estimated 30,753 people participated. Truly an epic sight to behold. Previous Guinness world record boat parade set in Malaysia is 1,180 boats so yeah 3x that.

Please don’t post anything that would make this thread run afoul of the rules here.

WOW!!! that's a lot of boats

Wonder what it was like trying to navigate in the middle of all that churning water. Sometimes this jet boat has trouble with 1 wake let alone over 3,000!

3417 boats! I would be like a pin ball bouncing back and forth. Was this a cruise or no wake event?

The main body of the 80 square mile lake was a washing machine. Some boats did bow out. Speeds varied by boat as go fast boats were way out in front and a main body gathered around a large boat that was certainly over no wake speed but hard to say how fast. Lots of variation in there. Pontoons were plentiful and amazing how well they seemed to handle it.

@Mainah Good to see you stop by. Hope yall are well.

We are looking at camping up there sometime before oct.

@Mainah This is exactly how Gasperilla is every year. We've been the past 2 years and have a blast. I've posted pictures of past events. Loved every minute of mixing in with others. It is a site to see. Glad you got to see it.

Gaspirlla is nearly 2,000 less boats, although in probably a much smaller area.
