I was wondering if anyone had ever tried to wrap there dashes looking at changing mine to a differnt color
 
Yes. @Williamsone46 has. I think there is a link to the write up in his signature. Check it out. He may chime in.
 
Somebody just used vinyl paint to redo their classic 230 dash.
 
That looks good I would like to do the dash and the whole console to change the color of mine . I have heard some things about vinly paint

It's all in the prep of the existing surface .... do it right and it will last and look nice.
