Hi New, here to the thread! We purchased a new 2024 Yamaha AR 190. A couple trips ago I sucked up a tow rope. Was able to cut it free and fire the boat up. Everything seemed to be fine except the boat will not reach Max RPM. It seems to be only reaching 7200 RPM max. There are no signs of damage in the jet drive. My initial thought was it was the throttle cable, but it is hitting the stop. Has anyone experienced the APS Bing the possible culprit? When the boat sucked the rope up, the throttle lever locked. I tried to apply slight pressure and was not able to move it until I freed the rope. Wondering if it is possible that pulled it out of sink with the APS.

More likely there is still something in the pump, i would inspect it thoroughly. The throttle and the APS couldn't get damaged from a rope in the pump.
If it was fine before then its a problem in the pump for sure
