When the lines are updated, but the people aren’tI volunteered to finish off the assembly of the bench seat so they could hotfoot it to their bowling league. After finishing up, I went over to visit, as I used to be on their team with them a number of years ago, and haven't seen some of the other folks in the league. The lanes have been updated since my last visit, but the people were just as I remembered them. I'd love to join back up, but nobody apparently has a bowling league with a reasonable length for a season that doesn't make it feel like a second job to me.

Wow, quite a project. Are these new plywood supports going to be sealed, Polyurethaned and epoxied, glassed into the hull? I hope they take the time to seal that plywood. Nice work, BTW.My BIL inherited my FIL's boat, and the water damage over the past 5 years finally caught up with him. Some of it was from "fixes" my FIL attempted, but the majority of it was due to bad storage, and his "buddy" not caring about the boat where it was stored, and leaving it out to seemingly put the final nail in the coffin to force these repairs. I'm only offering advice, ideas and possible solutions, and helped design & build the rear bench seat in the last pic. Still have work to do on that, but that's likely all the hands-on stuff I'll be doing. Better planning could have resulted in a better bench design, as this supposedly needs to be done by sometime in early May, but that wasn't mine to control.

Well, I can only report what I've been told, which is that "fiberglassing will be done" - to what, I'm not certain. I recommended after getting the initial fiberglass work done, to epoxy everything to help avoid the fiberglass damage and intrusion that caused all of this, and I THINK I was heard and will be listened to. I'm still not certain on the poly, as it sounds like he's covering everything in the Vevor version of SeaDek.Wow, quite a project. I begged off the fiberglassing, as I'm not looking forward to my own stuff! The woodworking is/was self-serving as well, as I needed them to finish with my track saw so I can take it back to use it on a vac cabinet, but you're right, it was a time suck of this past weekend.Oh no you don’t!! All kidding aside, what a project!! Was that the boat that your BIL brought to the Sandbar Bash last year?
I used marine ply on mine for that and it turned out well! But the next day was my first stroke day. So I remember it well. Hopefully not a repeat!Did that same repair a couple years ago on the fuel tank hatch. It was a big job.
