Best Trailer Tongue Jack

Hmmm.....the weight was taken with the OEM trailer jack wheel. I wonder if I got the actual weight from the tongue, if it would be any lighter? In order to accommodate the new jack, I would have to move the bow stop assembly back at least 6".

Comparing the 2 literally side by side the Northern is easier to crank.

You may want to consider the Trailer Valet. It is very helpfull if you need to move your trailer when not connected to the tow vehicle. I a model 5X on a 2018 212 Limited. I can disconnect frpm the truck the roll it anywhere I want.

At first I had problems but it was not the Trailer Valet. My surge brakes were locking up and the Trailer Valet was just laying rubber. After that an innertube blew and I replaced it. When my original jack rusted and broke into two pieces, I brought the Trailer Valet back out thinking I will try it one more time before getting another jack. It has worked perfectly now for two years. In fact, it is my jack. The remnants of the original are long gone.

View attachment 81550Update I was able to make this just fit without moving the boat back. The only way to access the bolts on the 19’ trailer is to remove the bow stop/winch assembly. The jack has a five year warranty and is a significant improvement over the stock one.

I didn't even see an opening where you could fit one of those little blue pills.

The existing holes are a bit small. I used a drill and a Dremel to make them bigger. Easy job with the bow stop removed. The jack works great.

mine is holding up great!

This is the one I installed real happy with it, boat is alot more stable on the trailor. I have sprayed some roundup in my spot so the weeds are gone, dont judge.

I have the same one, but I have it installed in front of the bow stop. I moved the bow stop back so the boat is even with the bunks, and it lowered my tongue weight.

I think you and HangOutdoors did that, my boat already hangs off the bunks about two inches as is. When I replace my bucks I am going cut them a little longer and push the boat back on the trailor then. Looks like I would only need to go back a few extra inches (that's what she said)
