@robert843 , your gopro footage is great! Do you use special settings on the camera, or do you adjust the brightness and color when you process it?
@MrMoose I think its all subjective I thought you video looked good. I shot everything in 1080 P at 60 frames per second. I did not do any color editing and post edit this time as I was using my seven-year-old daughter laptop to edit due to mind being broken and it barely can handle what I was trying to do with it. The one thing I found it if you're not liking the way the colors are turning out on your camera go in and make sure protune is turned off. Protune should only be turned on if you actually plan to edit color it's like shooting pictures in a R a W format. If pro tunes on the camera does not filter anything if you turn protune off it actually uses it sensors to try and filter light in color little bit

Thanks, I'll check the protune setting and make sure it's off.

@geiger41 the ride home was a breeze it only took an hour and forty five minutes. You should check out the first video of the original crossing that took 5 hours it was a little rough. It should be in this thread back on the first or second page.

OMG 5 hrs. I would be fuming !!!!
That's part of the adventure! Crossing on jet ski may not be for everybody, but for some of us is an epic blast! I met a group from Jacksonville, FLA at Bimini's Big Game marina that crossed in group of 24 jet skies, it took them 6 hours and they looked like some of my Cuban refugee brothers running away from miserable communism risking all to chase our beloved one of a kind American Dream! Only difference is that they usually take 2-3 weeks, no motor, floating in the gulf of Mexico in one of Fidel Castro's cruise ships AKA as el mucho grande big ass truck inner tube raft. BTW I think we may have broken the record on return jet ski ride in 1 hour 45 minutes? I want to go back already! ;-)

HAHA Gotta ask, how sore were you the next cpl of days. Im sure some beverages helped out !
Yeap! Bahamian rum, Bahama Mamas, Hurricanes, Pina Coladas and a friend's moonshine made an excellent muscle and mind relaxer! ;-) I am miserably addicted to jet skiing and salt water, rode another couple of hundred miles more after I got back. ;-)

@upperdeck trailers from Wisconsin every year. Two couples came from Illinois and we trailer from Arkansas. We spent an additional six nights in Bimini.
If I recall correctly and all the fire water I drank has not done too much damage, another long distance trailerer, Omar from Texas? Again, I salute all of U BIG! What a great group of people and dedicated crew!

I wasnt thrilled with the way this one turned out but it gets the point across lol. Here is the video of the crossing day. Now atleast I get to start working with the fun footage of the days we were there.

Looking at the video of my boat, it was not sitting as low as was stated.. might have to show that to towboat U.S. and argue the "Salvage" point again.. I saw my cooler floating around in the ocean too LOL..

For those of you who are old enough to remember the original non-animated Batman series on TV, I should have superimposed "BAM!!" over the pic. I'm not sure who's boat that is, but they might be at the dentist today having the fillings that rattled out replaced.

These videos were originally posted in the main Bimini 2015 thread. Since there is a specific thread created for Bimini 2015 pics and videos, I thought that I'd copy the links over into this thread.
July 5th Launch at Harbor Towne Marina and head to Bahia Mar Marina

July 6th, 2015. Crossing from Ft. Lauderdale to Bimini Bahamas in a 2015 Yamaha AR240

On July 7th, we gathered with the jetboaters at Honeymoon Harbor for a "beach bash". Neat place. Lots of friendly stingrays. We all set up food and drinks on the back of our boats and enjoyed each other's company. On the way back to the resort, we stopped at a plane crash site and snorkeled around a bit. It was a little eerie. Took a short spin to the north island of Bimini before getting in as the mosquitos prepared for their evening meal.

July 8th. Snorkeled a small plane wreck and went to Three Sisters for some lunch, snorkeling, and fishing. The fish like beef jerky!

July 9th. Snorkeling, fishing, and exploring the SS Sapona in Bimini, Bahamas

July 10th. We went looking for a sunken U-boat near Cat Cay but didn't find it. We checked out the Cat Cay marina and saw some pretty nice boats. Grilled some ballpark franks on the back of the boat at Honeymoon Harbor and finished the day off at the infinity pool at Bimini Sands Resort.

July 11th Returning to Ft. Lauderdale
