... and it keeps the waves out of your bow!
No bow cover for me. Not a fan of the snaps.

I would probably feel different if I had taken any meaningful water over the bow last year.

Although I choose not to have a bow cover anyone who would feel more comfortable with one should have one.

someone should invent a bow cover that maybe just utilizes the bow grab handles and bow eye or something. I know it wouldn't be water proof but I'd be interested in one that doesn't use snaps.

@Bruce, is quite experienced and knows his boat's capabilities. For those who are not, consider a bow cover as good insurance for a lack of experience.

Interesting idea @Wayloncle and I bet that it is very do-able. My 2015 AR240 came equipped with snaps on the walk-thru windshield and that would make for a good anchor point along with the grab rails. I bet that it would be pretty easy to use the bow hook as a front attachment and the cleats as side attachments. In hindsight, I'd definitely go in that direction. The cost would probably be more than double though. The Yamaha bow cover that I purchased was less than half the price that it would have cost me to have a local guy make me one.

Its my opinion that a bow cover is good insurance if you have a mechanical failure and have to stop. The cover should buy you time and prevent a bad situation from getting worse.

For what it is worth, I was I think the only one to go to the airport and check in. They have upgraded the airport Customs area. Customs and Immigration are separate now and the waiting area is now air conditioned. They were uncrowded and very quick (for Bimini). Forms are at the Sands for you to fill out before you go too if you need them. Although I think Bruce was stocking up for the main group Capt meeting.

Has anyone ever seen a boat like this ? It's a jet ski pushes a boat around and then you can disconnect the jet ski from the boat.View attachment 38320
I remember when they came out....thought it was cool....everyone could just hang out on boat while wave runner played.

I see one of those nearly every weekend. Not really my taste but seems functional
