JetBoaters.net Bimini Fling June 19 to 25 2016

I have Allstate with 100 mile offshore coverage for boats and 10 for skis.

Glad someone mentioned it....I thought I checked but that was the BoatUS towing coverage which does cover Bimini.

What does everyone have for insurance? Mine won't cover it and I've called boat US they won't either! What's some options?
I went through this and after checking with Progressive, Boat US, Allstate and State Farm I went with State Farm. They cover me up to 100 miles for less than $400 for the year.

Niether Sea Tow or Boat US towing coverage cover the Bahmas since the new passport laws went into effect a while back. The will pick you 1 mile off the coast of Bimini the told me but will not enter Bimini. Other then that you have to use there international coverage which is where you pay for the tow from a local company and they reimburse you to a specified amount. Atleast this is what i was told by both in January of this year when shopping both at the boat show.

My State Farm quoted me but seemed high. I might not have factored in the coastal trip etc. I may revisit my SF agent tomorrow.

SF actually writes for someone else don't they or is it one of their subsidiaries?

I have State Farm and when I initially insured the boat I informed them about the Bimini trip and they advised the boat was covered and offered a discount on the insurance once a complete a safety course since we were discussing my vacation plans. It might be dependent on where you live?

Hell Yeah...your already bringing tools to help me out on the beach with finishing my mods...so let me help you out in return...:woot:
Heck yea....we need to remove proof of the Bahama coral from the hull, with a hole saw.....LOL

The weather forecast for the 20th shows a 10 to 20 mph wind blowing from the ESE. That is basically from Bimini to Fort Lauderdale. If this forecast holds we will have a headwind pushing waves into us. Not as bad as last year but not optimal.

Here is the observed weather data from last years crossing day. The wind forecast is pretty similar!
