I would like to exit Port Everglades playing Changes In Latitudes but the wind forecast is pushing for For Those About To Rock or Another One Bites The Dust.

Looking at the tidal charts we will be departing near the peak of the flood tide so the water will be rushing into Port Everglades as we are departing.
@Andy S, you guys could catch slack tide by changing your departure time by a few hours. It looks like you have a better wind forecast than we do but both dates are looking sporty.

What is your guys wind forecast I have not seen it yet? Ours is 15 mph sustained with gusts over 20 mph. At least its offshore wind right now if that holds it wont be perfect but will be better then a wind coming from the east. Due to our schedule we are stuck on departure time unless weather dictates us have to change it but I think it would take something moderately heavy for us to leave later then we plan as we just have too far to travel. now if the wind speed is the same and changes direction to from the east for us we will have some tough choices to make.
I know you were trying for a two bedroom. Have you asked about a one bed with a loft which is basically a two bedroom or even a one bed with a fold out couch?
Currently I see 15 MPH for your crossing and 16 for the main crossing on the 20th with both gusting to 20 or more. Earlier today you had a forecast of 10.
The observed wind for last years crossing peaked around 17 MPH around 7 AM. By the time we left again at 8 AM it had dropped to 10 MPH and stayed there for our entire crossing.
Both forecasts are worse than what we experienced last year. I hope it gets better.
