@bobbie - WOW! Your boat doesn't even seem that listed which is great. Are the "1100lbs a side" in your rear compartments? And the fact that you have just a 450 on the back deck probably reduces the bow rise.... I think I will have to do some bag moves this weekend to see if I can reproduce your setup. It looks GREAT!

View attachment 62242 @Blenderhead yep...rear compartments. Here's regular side
That is a super nice wave. My '17 212x has hard tanks in the rear compartments.... I wish they didn't do that. I would much rather have bags to fill the entire rear spaces.... So no weight in the ski locker? Mine came OEM with a 800lb bag in the ski compartment..... I think next time I go out I will not fill that bag and see how it affects my wave. Don't get me wrong, I have a decent rideable wake, I just look like a floating advertisement for Fly High / Fatsac ..... Maybe I can increase the wave quality by not filling my front bag. Here is my wake. Please let me know what you think or if you can see any obvious weight shift adjustments I need to make. Advice from an accomplished jetboat wave shaper would be awesome.

If I remember from Bobbie's earlier posts she fills only the surf side 1100# plus the 450# out back. So 1550 seems do-able for us. @bobbie if I remember you had the wedge, but you don't use it correct? @Blenderhead although my wave is nowhere near hers (yet) I will say that the steady current of the Willamette river and 10-20' depths sure add shape to even my stock +800lbs wave.
Bobbie - do you ever hit any lakes? Lake O perhaps? If so do you notice a drop in performance?
Stewart @ RCB was saying good things about your setup even on our test drive.

This is true. We flew up to meet Bobbie and Morgan and she did have 2 Wake Wedges at one point in time. But we recommended that she get some custom bags for under her seat and after that it has been smooth sailing for her. I have told other people about her boat but it hasn't been able to be reproduced yet....... go figure.

Wave behind my AR240 Sunday. . . . Wake wedge and 2400lbs ballast listed to port.

For reference I am 6'3" and riding near the middle of the wave.

@Blenderhead HA! No wedge for me. All natural...no enhancements! I think your wake is looking super legit. I wouldn't complain about that! The willamette river where i surf is deeper than @geohil. The depth is easily 40ft plus. But the stretch is pretty narrow so i don't know if that contributes to our wake. And no...we don't surf at lake Oswego. They don't allow any ballast of any kind. We have taken it to lacamas lake in camas and hagg lake. We really don't see any difference in the wake wherever we go.

Lucky! Middle of the river just downstream from our house is 4.5 feet deep! Man that shallow water flattens the wave. We are driving to Bend with a prolonged stop at WakeMakers Friday. I'll just tell them to gut the hard tanks and give me the @bobbie special!

I might end up with wave envy - but that could be fun!
We really are going to Wakemakers this weekend so I'll be curious what they say for my X.

@bobbie -- Thanks for the great info and photo of your rear-deck bag placement -- this is all really helpful. Just to clarify, do you fill both 1100 lb bags under the rear seat or just the one on the surf side?

@JimG. We really just play around what the conditions give us. Sometimes no counterweight is needed for a killer wake but like yesterday we filled a couple hundred pounds on non surf side to clean it up. Below is yesterday's wake with a bit of counterweight.

@bobbie - How far is your lower swim deck under water when you are kicking out a nice wake?

@Blenderhead . If we use zero counterweight the surf side is buried about ankle deep. Going out Monday...I can snap a pic with and without counterweight.

Nice! That right there seems to be the common denominator for a nice surf-able wave. That stern surf corner really has to be buried in the water.... Thanks for the confirm and I look forward to your pic.

I have 1200 in the port side and a 400 on the deck and I am not where near that deep. What else are you doing? I tried not filling my bow and locker bags and had almost no wave.
