Currently in the prototype development phase of a new item from Gantlin!!! Stay tuned for more info. Mainly this is just for a heads up on what to expect in the up coming months.

But
If you have a waiting list - I can pre-pay... Just saying.
This boating season is promising to be stupendous!
I'll be surfing with the real wedge and should be able to finish dialing up my ballast system!
Getting @Mainah push button start!
A surprise coming from Gantlin!
Keep in mind that this is just in prototype phase and we need months of stress testing to actually see if it is going to work or not. I do not want to put something out there that is going to break. I have told everyone all along that the stress that the jet pumps put on the wedge is the #1 reason why I cannot have a flipable wedge........... While building @swatski wedge I think I have figured it out.
A universal wedge!
There will be alot more machined components so the cost will go up ( but still alot less then 2 wedges ), along with supplying 2 ladder brackets. The only thing that you will have to do is move the turn buckle to the other side of the wedge. The pins in the turn buckle will have ring clips instead of cotter pins for ease of movement. Shouldn't take anymore then 5 minutes at max. Currently running all of the parts thru the machine shop and once I have @ar240owner and my units I will post pics.
We will still be selling the single sided version so if you do not need to flip sides then I wouldn't wait to purchase.
oh how I would like to have seen that moment! - when the light went on.
(@jcyamahariders wife - is there a video clip of that? It would go viral!)
But in all seriousness - I like the way you think about it! (I think)
A universal wedge is a great idea. With most ballast systems (in jetboats) it takes a few minutes to switch sides, so switching the wedge would not be an issue.
I wonder... given the way the swim platform is so close to water in the new hulls - if a non-foldable wedge (preventing ladder deployment) would be a possibility - if it helped the universal design?

In the few trips we got to make last year before winterizing, I don't think we ever pulled the ladder out. I definitely wouldn't be opposed to a non foldable version.
I wouldn't do that to @JetBoatPilot or @Cobra Jet Steering LLC . Those 2 systems have the bases covered, no need to introduce a 3rd steering system into the mix.
Non-foldable is defiantly possible. Just a small change but I would have to do either or. The smaller the quantity I order the more the price goes up from my suppliers.
Don' want to muddy the water, but could you build a non collpsible wedge that bracketed into both sides of ladder and went into both the tow rings.. one large wedge to clean wake on easch side same time.
I' sure you have thought of it and I'm not sure it' possible but without use of ladder folding out maybe?
