Has anyone used this board or know anyone with experience with this specific board? Curious about the straps to try learning tricks, etc. thoughts?

I would see straps as a disadvantage, as it limits where you can place your feet.

You’re able to adjust them based on your foot placement, but also remove them completely if you wanted to.
 
I don't know how much that board costs, but if it is more than $450 or so, I'd really recommend taking a look at some of the other makers who aren't big-name wakeboard manufacturers. If nothing else, you'll see a broader range of options and can sometimes get the builders to customize the board to fit you perfectly.
