Recently purchased boat from dealer in RI..
brought it up to Maine lake house. I put the boat in the water it fired right up. Drove it to the house it was fine.. picked kids up to take them on their first ride and the boat started to struggle a bit.. after a few minutes it died. Would not restart.. we got towed in. I checked the intake plug. Nothing in there. Could it be bad gas ? The tank was half filled when I bought it.. I added some fuel stabilizer and filled the tank up with high octane. What the dealer told me to do. Could the half tank of gas cause it to stall out and not restart ?
thanks for any advice...
John

Had a similar situation when we bought our '13 190, I added the red bottle of HEET, filled the tank with NON ETHANOL gas, let the tank set for a day and she turned over rough at first and then smooth after. Never had a reoccurence and I started adding STARTRON when we filled up.

The red bottle actually absorbs any water. So don't get the yellow bottle.

Thank you..
I did put startron in when I filled it up..
Not sure where I could get non ethanol gas. I’m in the woods up in Maine..

I'm hoping the HEET will do the trick if you put it in and let it absorb the water.

Any luck? If you're on/near Sebago, Kettle Cove Marina and (I believe) Richardson's Boat Yard have high-test, non-ethanol fuels.
