I am looking to upgrade my Radio but the problem I have run into is the unit is run through the connext system. Do they make a harness for plug and play to keep all the factory controls and just add an amp and tower speakers. Do I need to cut the factory wires and rewire if so has anyone seen a diagram on what each wire is.

Essentially you’ll need a lc2i or something similar, you’ll have to keep the factory amplifier to make it all work, if adding amps.
Just redid my 24 250 a couple weeks ago personally.

Not True!

I removed my "paperweight" of an amp entirely. You just pick up the speaker wires from Connext to feed LOC. Then new RCA's to new amps. Existing speaker wires out.. Easy.. You can still maintain Connext zone control as well if you determine what color speaker wires are running to each zone.

My unit does not have RCA or if it does its not the traditional setup they have already been cut. I read on another forum a guy used a yamaha plug to connect amps but have not been able to find that plug. My radio sounds horrible as it is I went ahead and replaced all the speakers with marine kickers made a large difference but at about 75% volume they will start popping.

You are correct it does not have RCA outputs. Read my previous response. You need to "create" RCA outputs by using a (LOC) Line out Converter. Pick up the speaker wires under dash that are feeding the Yamaha amp from the Connext, run them to LOC. and out of LOC with RCA's.

Ok thanks I will go look and try this.
