Positive starter cable loose - need help

Anyone have the positive starter cable come loose that led to intermittent starting? I am having a difficult time getting a wrench with a 10mm socket under the exhaust manifold to tighten it back down. See pics. Any suggestions? Do I have to remove the exhaust manifold?

My boat is a 2017 AR190

To access it properly you need to remove the exhaust manifold, it may be possible with a ratchet wrench but its tough

@Neutron Thanks for the response. That is what I thought. I was able to tighten it down with an offset wrench, but it came loose on the water from vibration and waves which led to no start. It started 40 times in a row in the driveway after I tighten it down with the offset wrench. I was trying to avoid taking off the exhaust manifold to tighten a bolt, but that is what I’ll have to do for the first time. Thanks for confirming that direction.

Its easier than you think , the gasket might come off in good shape. If you reuse it which i have done if in good shap just put a light film of quality automotive rtv on the surfaces

Sometimes the nut behind the cable is loose so after you remove the manifold verify the post isnt loose. If so take off the top nut and cable and tighten that first

Thank you for the specific directions. I will double check that the cable is tight while I have the manifold off. To be safe I am ordering a new gasket. Knowing that it could be reused in the future is good to know. Other that the 11 bolts holding the manifold to the engine, what other bolts did you remove?

Just the clamps to the rubber coupler. Loosen those a lot and push the coupler back as far as you can. Silicone spray is your friend when sliding it back.
