Hello, I have a scarab 195 2014 with 45 hrs . Half way through the summer I started to notice a lot of cavitation especially when more than just myself on the boat. I already replaced my wear ring and my prop doesn’t look as bad as the issues I’m having . I do plan to replace it tho. A mechanic already looked at it and quite honestly he only robbed me of my money. He believed it was a skid plate sealant, but the issue is just as bad and was not fixed. He did check the carbon seal inside. It looks fine.. the rpms will shoot way high , the engine sounds like it’s struggling and I can only get about 8-12 mph. It cavitates terrible. !.wish I could upload vid IMG_2171.jpeg

Yes when you remove the pump pay close attention to the driveshaft splines they may be stripped

I had a BRP mechanic look at my boat and he didn’t mention anything about my driveshaft or my carbon seal. He believes it is my prop even though it honestly doesn’t even look bad. This is why I’m nervous.

The prop is fine! Please have a close look at the black "silicone" the pictures aren't very sharp to see it good, but be aware that uneven or brocken parts can cause cavitation. If that's fine, your carbone seal is the next candidate. But the prop is fine!
