The Stoltz roller everyone likes is the Ultimate Bow Stop Roller. We need the 4" for the 192 trailer (I think all the newer Yamaha's do). The best price I was able to find was from Overtons at $39.00 and free shipping. It took a solid 6-7 days to get it, but that's free shipping for ya. I am going to have to shave about 3/16" off of the center roller for it to be able to spin. For some reason 4" is about 3.75" on Shorelandrs rulers. I have heard some people haven't had this problem, but many that do.

Not good as in, you had to shave it? I just went out and measured the bracket. it appears to be just under 4". I'm thinking I could "tap" the ears out about 1/8" each to allow the new 4" roller

I have heard of people having success that route. I tried to put a channellocks on them without much success, but all I had was the 10" wrench. Not quite enough leverage. I am fortunate to have a small machine shop at work so I am going to shave a little off with the band saw.

I used a large crescent wrench to bend the ears out slightly on mine. Do not worry about getting them perfect as when you tighten the new hardware, they will pull back to where they need to be. The roller is more of a stop so do not be too concerned if it does not roll freely, it will spin if it is forced too but I have yet to see my boat hit it and need it to roll, it is always right where it is supposed to rest at the bow eye. Now Be sure after several launches/retrievals that you snug your bow eye, they will settle in and loosen slightly.

Yes, it will loosen a little after about a dozen or so launches, retrievals. Then tighten and you will be good from there on typically. I just snugged the jam nuts on the outside up on mine. About a 1/4 turn on the top one and about a full turn and a half on the bottom. Its just settlement and wear in from use is all.
