AR190-AR192 PICS!

Looks bad ass! I definitely need to get mine done.

Anyone know if you can safely double layer tint? As long as its squeeky clean, I dont see a problem with it. Im just really unhappy about the 15% situation. I think as a customer with a specific request, I should at a minimum get a phone call saying "hey man im out of 5%". I would have politely agreed to come at a different time or wait for him to get some in.

Im thinking about adding a second layer of lighter 35% or something to make it closer to the 5% mark. I wanted them as dark as possible.

ADDED EDIT:
Just talked to my tint guy. Hes a class act and apologized for not notifying me. He said you can tint over tint just fine so he is going to double layer the 15% with more 15% so it may be even darker than my original request of 5%. Which is FINE BY ME! Darker the better. All my vehicles are 5% and look sick. On a boat, I prefer the look over function because Ill be able to see through it on a sunny day anyway. More than likely, Ill be sitting on the bolster above it anyways. Will post updated pics.

Nice. Glad he is standing behind his work. We all make mistakes from time to time but those that make them right are truly ones worth revisiting.

Do you think it would be possible to get a pic of it outside with the 15%? I am seriously considering the tint but I have seen a boat with 35% and it didn't look right but for me, 5% is too dark for how I intent to use it. If you can I would be very grateful, if you can't, I also understand.

The guy again is a class act. Ive had him tint my Tahoe, Wife's Jeep and my beater Ranger and now the boat. He knows I'll be back. lol

I think your boat with the black and white color would look really nice with a 15% tint. I really dig the black and white color combo with the black tinted windows. After seeing skbishop90's with 15% I think that's what I am going to go with. IMO it seems like the best combination of look without loosing too much visibility.

I had 20% on my last boat. It was ok. Still could see out of it fine. But with this new boat being black, I want it DARK. 15% just didnt cut it. But if you want something to still be useful and add looks, 15-20% is great. ANY tint on a boat will still stand out. Not many people bother with it so if you are the rare one on a lake that has it, you'll automatically stand out. It adds appeal to ANY boat.

@JetSet407 , looking good! I know youve been waiting on yours.

I acquired a small bow shield. It was a mirror finish. I didnt get a before pic of that. Lightly sanded it and gave it 12, yes TWELVE coats of Duplicolor universal black and another 6 coats of Duplicolor clear. Matches the color of the boat perfect. Now I just have to test it getting on and off the trailer to see if/how bad it scratches haha.

I have no idea how much this costs, but I found the solution to nighttime boating with tinted windows! I so want this!

Finally got it back. New window and double layer 15%. It looks absolutely SICK!! and dark as hell too haha.

That looks great!

Looks good!

You can see out surprisingly well. I wasnt really worried about it too much bc I would sit on the flip up bolster. Looking in....not so much. haha Which is EXACTLY what I wanted. I dont want people to be able to look into any of my vehicles. Dont ask me why...

That sir, is correct and I can not wait!

We are suppose to be in the low 70's on Friday then mid 50's on Saturday. I decided to take half a day on Friday and run the winterized fuel out of my boat... it will be a tease but to get back on the water will be worth it...

Was able to get the boat out yesterday and had a good time on the lake. Weather was warm and water was perfect! First time wakeboarding behind my boat went very well, seemed very friendly. I struggled before getting up on other boats (with other ppls gear) but got up easily every time.IMG_20150409_095055.jpg 2015-04-08-120938-62.jpg
