    battery calculator

I'll have to check on my amp, though replacing and rewiring all that isn't something I would terribly look forward to. Right now if I can find space it seems like the easiest thing would be to just pick up another Group 24 70ah battery for like $70 and just wire them up in parallel. We shall see.

    battery calculator

Tacking on as this seems to be the most recent 'battery' thread. I've been kind of dissatisfied with the stereo life i'm getting with my current setup. The previous owner installed a 2nd battery with isolater, and I finally got around to checking out the actual battery. it's only a Group 24...

Changing a wear ring in a Glastron 187 gts

Definitely can be. Take a look in there and see if your impeller is dinged or pitted or anything, can be that as well. Changing is should be pretty much the same as and 4tec powered boat, I believe they just use all the same stuff...

Stern Drive vs Jet Drive Propaganda

"Why can't I trim my jet drive?" ...Because you don't need to?

My First Date with Hot Sauce

I just go in dry, sometimes days after I last took her out, and she always cleans right up.

    Idle RPM for Scarab 190

Docking mode just makes it so a full throw of the throttle will only bring you up to 3500rpm. You can definitely still throw it in reverse and give a "full" thrust (it's limited anyways to only like 1inch of movement on the throttle). It's nice for forward as well because you can give it some...

    Cleaning regimen?

Also curious about this. Never messed with salt water before and probably leaving mine in salt for the week of the 4th of July. Would rather not have to pull it out halfway through for a cleaning if I don't have to.

2012 Sea Doo Challenger Single Engine iTC Ski Mode

I know my 2012 180 SE has the 'Ski Mode' Lettering etc on the dials, but doesn't actually have Ski Mode, I believe it was only on the SP model (the orange and black one), at least for the 180s

Large amount of mist/spray with BRP Thrust Vector (x-posted for visibility)

I should be out again this weekend to get some quick video of what my jet flow usually looks like. If at all possible i'd love to keep the TVs as they really did improve handling a ton, they're just not usable in current state. I may throw them on in the garage again to get some photos of how...

Large amount of mist/spray with BRP Thrust Vector (x-posted for visibility)

Anyone have Thrust Vectors on their BRP jet drives, or a similar issue on other makes? I'm in a 2012 180 Challenger and i'm getting a huge amount of mist/spray from them at cruising speeds (25mph or so). I love the low speed control they add, but I've taken them off because they just soak anyone...

    Greetings from Texas

Hello from Houston (Lake Houston). My dad had a Sugar Sand Tango way way back in the day so when I looked into purchasing my own boat I naturally gravitated towards a jet boat. My wife and I started out with a 2011 Sea Doo 150 Speedster last year. Our friends and family showed a lot more...

    Towing with a hitch extension

@swatski it's a 2wd Colorado z71 w/ a locking rear differential. I haven't had and don't really anticipate any issues at my usual ramp, but I think my strategy will be to keep a 12" or so extension in the back of the truck and slap it on at the ramp whenever I hit any new ramps for the first time.

    Towing with a hitch extension

That's what I was afraid of. Looks like I may just grab an extension to keep in the truck and if I happen up a questionable ramp just install and back it down with it, but not do any traveling with an extension.

    Towing with a hitch extension

Anyone towed with a hitch extension before? Just picked up a 180 Challenger and it does require me to get my back tires in the water a tad, not even up to the rims, where my previous 150 Speedster didn't. My tow vehicle is a 2008 z71 Chevy Colorado 2wd w/ a locking rear differential. I haven't...
