    Boating Pets?

There is a small platform that hangs off the top step on the ladder. It is a product called Load-A-Pup. You can see it in the video, the white platform under the water behind the boat. It is awesome! Once the dogs learn to use it you never have to pull them out of the water again. They just...

    242 L/S SeaDek installed finally

Self stick. There is some kind of 3M pressure activated adhesive on it. Just line up, tape down and then peel and stick it. Here is a video link to @JetBoatPilot that explains all about it.

    242 L/S SeaDek installed finally

So I bought everything but the "new" pieces during last years group buy (there is another one going on right now). With that plus the new pieces it was basically $1K. I bought "all" the optional pieces and paid more for the AR240 swim platform pieces because I got rid of (stored) the cushions...

    242 L/S SeaDek installed finally

Added the new bow, anchor locker, SeaDek mats to my boat. I also had Will @JetBoatPilot send me 2 additional side pieces for the stern of the boat so that the SeaDek covers both sides from the Swim deck up past the tower. Will was skeptical on how they would fit & look, but talked him into it...

    Completed 2015 SeaDek Group Buy

@Gumbeaux, I think I confused you. The teak lines line up just fine. The issue is where Yamaha installed the carpet snaps (like the snaps on the stern of my bow carpet were not centered. They are closer to the head compartment about 1/8" of an inch) . The holes are "off center" in some...

    Completed 2015 SeaDek Group Buy

On my install there are 5 that are completely not covered and 2 that are partially covered. 3 will always be visible with the current layout (the 3 that are closest to the engine hatch on the outside of the fuel tank cover). The other 2 that I have that are totally visible are under the very...

    Completed 2015 SeaDek Group Buy

@trashygasman & @bronze_10, It is called "Load-A-Pup", link to website below. http://www.boatingdog.com/boating_dog During our first season with the boat we got tired of hauling the dogs up onto the swim platform every time they jumped in so I went looking for a solution online and found a...

    Completed 2015 SeaDek Group Buy

@PaulyB & anyone else with large dog concerns, I purchased a full set of SeaDek Faux Teak - Mocha over Black during last years group buy. We have 3 silver labs on the boat just about every time we go out and sometimes up to 6 dogs. My SeaDek still looks like new this season (the first with it...

    242 L/S SeaDek installed finally

@Kevin M If you decide to go with the SeaDek you won't be disapointed! It is great stuff and really improves the look of the boat as well as removes the issues of dealing with soaked carpet.

    242 L/S SeaDek installed finally

Great looking install @Jackew! We love it in our boat. Everyone that has been on the boat before the Seadek comments on how much better it looks then before. Looks great, feels great & no soaking wet carpets to worry about ever again!!!!

Marina Fuel Prices, Price gouging....how do you get fuel to your boat?

When we need to fill up the wife jumps in the boat and heads to the ramp on our lake, I grab the trailer and meet her at the ramp, load up and off to Costco about 2 miles away, fill her up and then back to the lake. It takes us about 45 minutes to 1 hr for the whole process and we find it much...

    Throttle Dropping? Check here!

I applied this fix to my 2012 242 LS yesterday morning and it worked like a charm!!! Used the boat all day yesterday on the lake and they stay where i put them instead of dropping back 500 or so RPMs like they used to. Took me about 1 1/2 hours to get it completed but oh it was so worth the...

Yamaha Diagnostic System (YDS)...how to read your hours and errors

YDS 1.33 & Windows 8 confirmed to work on 2012 242 L/S. I bought the cable and software from eBay from the seller that was linked earlier in this thread. I checked my engines today with the YDS software and had no issues with it at all. Followed the instructions in the first post and...

    242 L/S SeaDek installed finally

I did not fill the holes in the swim platform for the cushion bolts. I figure if I want to add them back at anytime I can just cut out the bolt holes in the SeaDek and put them on anytime I felt I needed them over the more kid / dog friendly swim area. It is not like having the holes filled...

    242 L/S SeaDek installed finally

Ah yes I am in there. I can recommend that mirror! It is the Samson sports mirror for the 242 L/S. It gives you a huge rear view across the whole wake and out to the sides. It is also easily adjustable between my wife and I (I'm 6'5" & she is 5'4"). Yes it is pricey but man it looks awesome...
