    AR192 or AR195

I did read it but appreciate the reference. I'd like to see if the changes I already made makes any difference before purchasing a $300 plastic cone. I would imagine ill probably pick one up eventually regardless though.

    AR192 or AR195

I used to ski competitively in college but I will admit my trusty 67" HO is a little small for me now...

    AR192 or AR195

I picked up a used 2016 AR192 late last season and found with 4 adults+ kids, I had to plow a loooong time at 6'1", 210lbs on a slalom at 15' off. Granted, we had just finished tubing on a really hot day so I'm hoping heat soak was the issue. Over the winter I performed the ribbon delete, SVHO...

    AR/SX 192 Ribbon Delete

Yes sir, I'm talking about the gasket between the intake manifold and the engine block.

    AR/SX 192 Ribbon Delete

Did you guys just reuse the gasket between the manifold and block when putting everything back together? The SHO service manual claims is not to be reused...

    1.8L Timing Chain Confirmation

Thanks, will do. Anyone wanting to check their own chain, Yamaha Sports Plaza has replacement gaskets (item 6BH-11193-00-00) for $28.

I think I'm with you on this.

    1.8L Timing Chain Confirmation

Well crap, I looked in the SHO service manual and apparently there is a "not reusable" gasket that must have stayed on the cover when i pulled it up. Those with mechanic knowledge believe I should go back in and replace the gasket?

    1.8L Timing Chain Confirmation

Yes sir, when pulling up the valve cover there wasn't a gasket or any type of seal. After removing the SP boots and little sensor at the stern end, there were 8 bolts to remove the valve cover. I pulled it up enough to snap a pic and put back down and bolted everything back in reverse. Hope...

    1.8L Timing Chain Confirmation

No gasket or o-ring, the cover just lifts up. This may help:

    1.8L Timing Chain Confirmation

I have a 2016 AR192 and had concerns regarding the timing chain issues, discussed at length here, on the 1.8 liter engines. Swatski posted he had been told Yamaha addressed the timing chain issue in the 1.8l engines built after 7/15 by putting in beefier timing chains consisting of 4/5 links as...

    AR/SX 192 Ribbon Delete

I have Haknslash's 192.... and seem to be shamelessly copying his mod list. I already swapped intercoolers with the SVHO & in retrospect I should have done them at the same time. I guess I'll give it the ol' college try this week. Thanks fellas.

    AR/SX 192 Ribbon Delete

I'm an idiot, I meant complete the delete without removing the manifold. Can you keep the manifold in place and remove the TB and ribbon downward? Thanks.

    AR/SX 192 Ribbon Delete

Dumb question, has anyone completed the delete by feel with the throttle body in place? Unbolting the TB and flipping it over with all that crap around is freaking my out a little.

    Impeller damage pictures

I did notice some spots missing sealant (hard to tell in the picture). Can you spot seal the voids or do you remove all sealant and recaulk everything? Any product recommendations?

    Impeller damage pictures

I picked up a ’16 AR192 a few weeks ago and the whole family loves it. However I was pretty disappointed in the boat’s ability to get out of the hole. It really struggles getting me (6’1” 195lbs) out of the water on a competition slalom with a few adults and kids onboard. I did notice some...

    Hull scratches from beaching

How does one know if a scratch is deep enough to require intervention? There are a couple good streaks but aren't very deep (barely detected by a fingernail)...
