    5 years since purchase

This month marks 6 years that we've had our 2018 AR195. This was my first boat ever. At first we stored it in our 3rd garage. Then 2 years later we bought a lot at Lake Gaston and began building a lake house. Fast forward to now, we can get to the lake house in 75 minutes and just lower the boat...

    Subwoofer installation

I recently added an amp and replaced the 4 stock speakers with Kickers in our 2018 AR195. I considered a sub but decided to wait n see. Definitely more sound from the speakers. Under the way, it's 75% of the way there IMO. I have concluded that it's not the sub I need by really I should've added...

Is this *just* a gel coat repair?

I can't tell if that's an impact crack or something else.

Coastal NC, SC, & GA - You've got $750k to drop on a boat & weekend vacation home...what, where, and why?

Wow, so your secret's out! LOL ... prices are up at the lake too. prolly on the coast as well. OP may have to up his budget.

Coastal NC, SC, & GA - You've got $750k to drop on a boat & weekend vacation home...what, where, and why?

That's what we did. The coast wasn't as enjoyable for us as the lake. Among the options mentioned, I'd choose New Bern. Good boating and your $$$ would go farther IMO. Congrats on having the choice tho!

    Missing speakers, amp and wiring

Damn. Sorry man. Hopefully the box ends up being in your basement or something.

Adding a Powered Subwoofer vs. Adding Another Amp

I'm thinking this thread may be helpful for me. I recently swapped out the 4 stock Polks for 4 new kicker speakers, added a 4-channel amp, got a new headunit, and had all this new stuff run with a 2nd battery. I wasn't sure about a sub at the time. Kinda wish I'd gotten an amp with another...

Adding a Powered Subwoofer vs. Adding Another Amp

@YoDaddy292 Did you ever try this? I recently had 4 swapped out the stock Polks for 4 new kicker speakers, added a 4-channel amp, got a new headunit, and had all this new stuff run with a 2nd battery. Curious about being able to add a subwoofer without calling my installer back.

    Carolina Get Together

Yep, we just cross the lake to head to Washburn's. Cannot wait for boating season ... but definitely hating on what I gotta do to clean up after the yellow pollen invasion.

    Carolina Get Together

We have a house on Gaston so I’d definitely be interested if the group chooses that lake. I know a family who rents their lake house in our cove (including the use of the boathouse and lift) so I’ve posted the link for that in case anyone is interested...

Is this *just* a gel coat repair?

I agree. I'm going to get the $50 Spectrum gel coat repair kit in black. I just care about function and not a perfectly flawless finish where it's located.

Is this *just* a gel coat repair?

I missed a caution buoy and hit something in the water resulting in a small chip in my keel. It’s pretty small but wanted to ask you guys if I can get away with using the Spectrum gel repair kit on this. I keep the boat on a lift at my dock so it's already gonna be a pain because I'll have to...

SW Florida Jetboaters, Did you make it through

Wow, I'd be curious as to what your slip lease or agreement says. Or is it a matter of holding your spot. Good luck to you.

SW Florida Jetboaters, Did you make it through

Wow. At first glance I was thinking that was a 'before' pic. Then I zoomed in and saw the pile of boats. What a mess. I hope folks in SW Florida can start their comeback from Ian soon and with little to no bumps in the process.

What Jetboat events & gatherings are being planned for 2022?

What’s the status of the Lake Gaston meetup? We have a lake house there so my boat stays on the dock. Mile marker 3.

    Scarab 195 almost sank

I would think whoever replaced the driveshaft at 20 hours would perform the labor at a reduced charge if not for free.

    Scarab 195 almost sank

Sorry you're dealing with this issue on your new boat. Outside of the surging issue the previous owner mentioned, did she mention this repair?

    Been gone for a while...

Congrats on the full recovery. Sorry to hear about the divorce. At least you can go boating when you want this season 🙄

    195 cold start issues

2018 195 here. I may have to try a 2nd attempt if starting it in the winter below 32 but even that’s rare.
