195 Tablet Mount

When I first bought my 2021 195S I was really excited about the built in map. After using it a time or two I found it clunky and lacking many features that navionics offers on other devices. I found this Lenovo M8 tablet on sale at Walmart for $89, so I decided to give it a shot. I mounted it using a magnet mount from amazon. For power, I drilled a larger hole between the two oem holes for the factory phone mount (so that I could go back stock with no visible holes) and plugged into the usb connection from the factory stereo behind the dash. By far the best $100ish I have spent on the boat. The tablet runs navionics as it should, and is plenty bright for visibility in the sun.

This is awesome, and I just happen to have a similar tablet on hand already. Can you give a few more details? I suspect that you removed the factory phone mount, yes? What magnet mount did you use, and where specifically did you mount it? Finally, what nav app do you prefer? I was waiting semi-patiently for my boat to come in, but now I am even more anxious with another mod planed. Thanks!
