While writing the post on the refurbishment of the swim platform Radio remote i removed the rear tray as it was necessary and also at the same time removed the drain pipe from the tray, I have always had a feeling that the water was slow to exit but just thought it was one of those things however after removing the drain pipe look what i found a factory mod which until this day has never been revealed, I have never had cause to take the pipe off before so it has been there since new.

There's no need to put silicon around that pipe it's under no pressure and just gravity fed, Maybe they know something we don't, Let me know if you have this mod and if so is there an increase in performance or fuel economy i haven't noticed any difference myself.

Hoses being plugged with sealant at production seems to be a VERY common thing. Check out what was in the deck drain hose when I changed my scupper! It really seems to defeat the purpose.
