2011 Yamaha 242 Limited port side Engine won't start.

The boat ran fine when we put it up last year. This is the first time getting it ready for the season, and the port-side engine will not turn over. It is not the kill switches or switches under the rear deck. I checked all the fuses, and they are all good. When I try to start it, it just clicks, the engine does not move/shake like the starboard side. Sorry, not a mechanic. I took a video and had a friend look at it, and they said it sounds like it's not getting fuel. Are there any things I can check? I can post the video if needed.

So just clicks as you turn the key, makes me think starter. Find the starter and tap on it with a hammer, then try again. If it were turning over and not starting I would think spark/fuel.

Yes, it just clicks. When putting the batteries in today, I caused a short and had to replace both 30-amp fuses. Not sure if this caused it or just sitting all winter. I will still tap on it with a hammer to see if that works. Anything else I should check?

Can’t think of anything else to check besides the solenoid but since it clicks then I’d say we can rule that out already.

ok go behind the boat where the pump is and spray a bunch of wd-40, in the pump around the impeller if it tries to turn over or does turn over your pump liner has swelled and it is locking the impeller this happens after the boat has been sitting for a time I replace my pump sections with the plastic liners and never need to worry about the liners getting corrosion under them and causing high spots and a lot of clanging when the engine is being run out of the water.
Plus if you ever need to replace the liner you can do just that without having to buy the entire liner section of the pump again. I think they call it mylar liners I know you can get them at www.sbtontheweb.com in Clearwater Florida this is where I get mine I beat the crap out of them and have yet to ever have one go bad.
