@mrmeaniemeateaterman ....I have been through the bogue sound, but never anchored up there or visited any sandbars in that particular area. The Bogue sound is usually has fairly rough water. We spend most of our time around Swansboro/Emerald Isle and there are plenty of sandbars to explore. Its hard to imagine a more beautiful area. We are planning to go to Shackleford Banks and Cape Lookout next weekend (weather permitting). Let me know if you decide to make the trek one day. If we are going out, we would be glad to have you join us. These were taken last night.
