Once you go black you'll never go back. I have the Deluxe Mooring Cover in Black and as the other members have noted, you are generally not messing with the ratchets after you initially get them set. I ride the boat hard and put her away wet (with the cover) all the time.

I have had mine exposed 24/7 ... 365 to salt for 2 years and it is holding up very well. I am an old guy and it is a bit of gymnastics to put the cover on while on my lift, but shouldn't be an issue if you are eating your Wheaties or doing your yoga.

I think the thicker material will translate to more durability and have a longer useful life (than the grey/lighter material option).
