Hi All, I'm a new owner of a 2017 242X E series in Blue...I have a couple of questions I could use help with, please:

1. I want to buy the JetBoatPilot optional Seadek mat kit - does anyone know which color matches the Oem Seadek?
2. The boat is missing the transom walk through seat cushion - does anyone know the part number/color code?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Cheers,
Simon.

I pinged Will - thanks. Also, for others, i found the 2017 color chart for reference - the Black is SC2, the Blue is PBC8....

How many people do you plan to carry? I ask this because we have not once used that cushion. I got the Seadek piece that goes there and it looks great! I wouldn't want people stepping on that cushion.

Exactly what he said. We took ours out and put it on a shelf in the garage.

And I just got the email notification that my optional seadek kit is on the way.

Thanks for the feedback. Good point, well made. I have the Seadek pad on order too. I'll wait and see whether I really need it. Do you know if the cushion still fits with the Seadek there?

For anyone wanting to know, Will advised that Smoke gray over black is the OEM color.

Yes the cushion can still be used. I've even brought it a few times thinking "oh we can use this today" but it never comes out of the storage compartment

Do you have the color chart for 2018 242x ?

I just replaced cushions and graphics on my 2018 242x. Finding the color codes was a nightmare:
SC2: Blue/Black
WC5: Red/Black
I also replaced all the Marine Mat; button-in and the adhesive. If anyone wants tips on removal of the adhesive mats I have it down (after much frustration) to a super easy 5 minute process.

I would love some tips. Removing a cheaper version of seadek throughout the entire boat. The adhesive is a nightmare. Have it completely soaked in goo gone and it just smears around. Tried using a brush on a drill and it flung adhesive all over and now that's a nightmare to get off. it basically added more work for me now. 4 hours of work so far and very little progress. Please help

You need:
Acetone,
Heat gun
Heavy Trash bags
Handy Wipes
This plastic scraper
Shurhold Buff Magic

Heat and pry the existing foam decking:
Work in small areas starting with a corner. Once an edge is worked up, with the heat gun thoroughly heat a small linear area to be lifted. While maintaining lifting pressure with one hand, drag the edge of the scraper along the edge sticking to the gel coat as if skinning an animal; pull and drag. When the foam stops pulling easily stop and heat the next portion and repeat. Do not tear it, keep it all in one piece.
Once removed most of the adhesive and maybe even some foam bits may remain.
Lay the handy wipes over the area with adhesive residue and soak in acetone. Cover with trash bags and possibly some weight to keep the bags in place. Leave for a half hour.
Fold trash bags over in half exposing the handy wipes. Use the scraper and scrape the wipe and adhesive goop together up onto the folded trash bag, working away from you. This will be exceedingly easy and fast. Remove the trash bags and goop. The surface will be 98% clean at this point.
Use a towel and some buff Magic to bring the exposed gel coat to a showroom finish to prep for your new decking or just leave as is!
I hope this helps!!

Bought some 747 floor adhesive remover and it worked 100 times better than goof off or goo gone. Entire boat cleaned and new floor in!
