2017 Surf Stream Wake Enhancement

I'm just taking a wild guess since it is hard to tell from the pics, but... is the device funneling water and directing it at the jet streams? So instead of knocking down some of the wash with plastic or rubber like the wake wedge devices, you are doing it with water? Like fighting fire (water) with fire (water).

Yes it actually is , I attached a photo above however, what it doesn't show is view of the jet and how it would flow to the "tabs"

Scarab will provide you with a "set" of surf tabs(2 - 1 left, 1 right), and it can be placed on which ever side you will be on. I'm sure it can be placed on both sides, but I'm not sure how that will look like or how the boat would ride. It's mounted (as per the pic I attached) with two screw type locks. What my husband has also done, he just created a rope with a latch to connect to the handle when mounting/unmounting them in case it's dropped.

Thank you for posting those pics. TOTALLY different concept I guess...
I don't think I fully grasp what it does, looks like it's scooping and diverting water coming off of the surf-side jet?
Are the two tabs the same? or do you need two different set-ups to surf regular and goofy?

Sorry for all the questions, but this is really different. Fascinating!

It's ok, I was looking everywhere to get any information on the Scarab surf tabs and couldn't find any myself before purchasing the Scarab. There are two tabs, one for the left and right side, so depending whether you are goofy or regular, you'd place the tab on the side you will be riding and to switch, you would have to stop the boat and change out the tabs.

The way I see there are two things happening, the jet water is also pushing water under the surf tab, enough for it to create a larger then normal wake without and the owner at New Orleans Power Sport (Leonard Mariast), he would maneuver the boat left to right that caused the wake to be smoother, the movement wasn't significant enough for the rider to notice, just enough to make a smoother wake. I hope to get out again just to ride around before november and I'll try and video the differences in the wake with ballast and tabs.
