Hey all. Just recently bought a new 2024 AR195 (2.5hrs on it now). Things have been going pretty good except for last outing noticed some white smoke coming from the starboard side of the back of the boat. Really only visible at speeds above 10mph but it does have a little smell to it but not sure what it is. Dealer said "nothing to worry about" but i am slightly worried. If something is wrong it has warranty but still annoying. Is this normal? or does this need to be taken back in? Anything to check by myself? New to jet boats so looking for advice here.

Are you sure it's smoke and not steam? If the water's cold enough, I'll get a little steam back there. The smell could also be you just smelling the exhaust gasses + the new exhaust breaking in (you'll get scents as all the metal and rubber get seated).

Biggest difference is how long it lingers - steam will go away pretty quickly as soon as it adjusts to ambient temp. Smoke will linger until it expands into the air volume and dissipates. Yours looks like steam...

It means your boat has chosen a new pope.

(It actually means nothing - it's just steam/exhaust and is normal. At least, my boat does the same thing. About 180 hours.)

Thanks all! Will keep my eye on it but seems i should try not to worry about it too much.
