I wonder if this newly announced Helm Master EX wireless remote can be integrated with the Sport H's (feature-stripped) Helm Master EX system:
I plan to add it to my HM EX–equipped pilothouse boat. I'm most looking forward to controlling the fishing features (Staypoint, FishPoint, DriftPoint) and adjusting the autopilot while I'm away from the helm — things that I can do with my trolling motor on my 255 FSH Sport E.
The Helm Master remote also offers integrated Man OverBoard (engine idle/cutoff) functionality. That got me thinking — why don't the wireless remotes of electric trolling motors have built-in MOB too? They totally should!
I wear a MOB+ wireless engine cutoff on both of my boats... and last year, I put a solenoid battery cutoff on my trolling motor so I could trigger the cutoff with my MOB+. I have nightmares of falling into the water while my FSH's trolling motor is on GPS anchor lock... in current... and I can't swim back to the boat.
