303 Protectant Question

Is this stuff good to use on the Yamaha black mooring cover? I am going to clean mine this weekend and thought it wouldn't hurt to protect it but I also know some things do not play well with others.

It is. The "deluxe premium" (black) mooring cover is made from Surlast and 303 is the recommended for that fabric.

I just did the same to mine a couple weeks back. Seems to help, but wasn't a night/day difference for waterproofing, still leaks/seeps thru a bit. UV protection wasn't much of a requirement for me, but I suspect it will help there too. It did make the cover a bit more stiff after it dried, nothing much though.

I also use this on the Yamaha Premium cover. Repels water well and I'd say it is worth every dollar, and hour spent applying it.

Unless you are specifically talking about the 303 brand fabric protectant. 303 Aerospace Protectant (30306) is NOT recommended for fabric.
I buy and use 303 A.P. by a gallon, love this stuff on everything from seats to engine covers to windshield seals. Not fabric though.
I have heard numerous reports where it does not play well with fabric.

Holy moley good catch Swatski!!!! I assumed the fabric guard was what the OP was referring to. I specifically use this (30607) on the cover and on all outdoor cloth seating areas in my backyard:
