Finally got to try out my fathers day present and it was great. Normally I use a scotch brite pad to clean the hull at the sand bar every weekend. This time it was 2.5 weeks from being on the boat and this tool worked wonders. So much easier then doing it by hand. It extends to 4 feet and can be submersed 3 feet in the water. The head adjusts as well.

Now, *that* is a toy...
 
When you buy a keel guard, that is the same thing they provide you to scuff up the hull so the guard sticks better. So at least use care with those. You may find someday you are through the gelcoat in some spots...
