Has anyone ever added a middle cleat to their 19' FSH? I find that the two cleats are really far apart for just the two fenders and I fear that the back fender is always at risk of rolling up onto the swim platform. I really want to add a middle one. If anyone has done this I'd love to konw how successful they were.

When I walk my 19’ on and off trailer I just tie a rope to the tower pole right in the middle if u have sport model

Yes. I added one and use it every time I launch the boat. It's way better when controlling the boat to get a mid line location to pull. Also use it at a local dock that is short and the dock cleats are too close together.

Yes, several people have added this, I remember seeing those threads. Do a quick search here and see.

found this that could send you in the right direction anyway:

edit: found another one: https://jetboaters.net/threads/pop-up-push-button-cleats.31422/#post-510615
Thanks for those. I did a search but I was specifically looking for the 19' FSH. I'd like to add one to match the factory pull out cleats but wondered if anyone had experience with placement and most critically, what's under the surface :). I'm terrified of putting drill to fibreglass.

Bit the bullet and added one. I couldn't add it to the side, as I had hoped to match the other two, but since it's retractable it actually works great on top! And looks completely factory to boot.

yes that should be feed back to yamaha... not enough cleats and no way to direct lift the boats on davits (without straps)...
I corrected all of the above on my boat... adding a bow cleat/lift ring to the bow eye and reinforcing the stern lift bow eyes, additionally I added 4 more OEM cleats and added reinforcement to all of the cleats in the form of washers and backing plates...

Instead of adding a cleat for a better fender locations, added 2 of these to each side on the gunnels….work fantastic and easy install. Also frees up the cleats for just ropes.
