Adding an amp and mid speakers to my 242

Sorry not sorry for posting on an older thread. I just gotta say Thank you Shookie and all those that added to it. I have been given a $500 limit for now but need to add tower speakers as well. This will be my go to and I have worked out a three step process that I will use to get there. Three steps should keep the boss and wallet happy but provide good upgrades at each point.

Sure thing, hope it helps. I read plenty of other threads with slightly different upgrades and from there I was able to piece it all together. This forum is truly awesome!

$500 is gonna be rough. Honestly, the amp is the first thing I'd add. It alone will make your stock speakers come to life. I was amazed at the difference.

I concur...with a tight budget if you don't have one, get an amp to power the speakers. It'll make a big difference even with stock speakers.
