No regrets here, install was easy after cleaning off the existing mismatched turf and doodoo brown stock seadeck The wifey and I got it done in about 1.5 hours at most. Easy peezy.

Used the boat for the first time this past weekend after putting on the new SeaDek, worth every penny. Only wish I had bought the thicker helm pad because I like to stand while driving.

We did get the thicker swim deck seat pads to replace the goofy cushions. Love those to. Will be ordering the rest of the optional pieces soon as I get around to it.

Good to know...

By sanding, I was thinking that I'll have to remove the snap bases from the old carpet. From there, my thought was to add some 5200 to the places where the snap bases come out (to keep provide a base under those areas), then level and sand just those areas. But come to think of it, I may be able to just use a putty knife to level out the 5200.

Does that make sense?
I 5200'd my snap holes months ago and when I was acetone'ing for the seadek I noticed some of them tend to peel up if you soak them in acetone. The 5200 isn't as hard to remove as they say... lol

You can also fill the holes, and just wipe them smooth immediately thereby avoiding the need to sand the 5200. I just licked my finger and wiped the hole like it was GE Silicone. Worked good. Probably have cancer forming on my tongue, but hey... sacrifices must be made. LOL
