curious if anyone has the new axiom system with the 3D transducer. Thinking of replacing my humminbird sidescan. After using it for a while it doesn't seem to be very accurate. Doesn't seem to pick up fish even when we are actually catching fish under the boat. Also I don't seem to use the sidescan very much in the ocean but more of just the downview. The axiom 3D looks very nice and I want the bigger screen but I want to know how well it actually works.

No one? Is it not that good where no one wants one?

One more time to see if anyone has one or why you chose something else you thought was better.

I thought it looked nice, just a bit more spendy than I wanted.

It looks like a great option to me.

I have used a Raymarine Dragonfly 6 for four years. It was ground breaking for the functionality at the price.

Then the Simrad Go came out with a much nicer interface for a similar cost.

I see the Axiom as Raymarines answer to the Simrad Go.

I was close to buying an Axiom last year but the Dragonfly meets my needs.

Well after going to the saltwater fishing expo and seeing them all there I'm back to thinking humminbird again. I liked the axiom 3D but after seeing it in action it seemed kinda gimmicky and even the dealer thought so. For the same price as the 7" axiom I can get the humminbird 10" screen with mega imaging which I think I will use more.
