Hi,

I'm new to the AR240 scene, and just bought a 2010 model in red/white, in great condition with low hours. Loving it so far.

However, the front speakers are cactus, so I figured I'd upgrade all 4 speakers and the head-unit. Has anyone tried fitting 7" speakers into the existing speaker mounts? We have limited range out here in the UAE, and I've found these Fusion speakers for a reasonable price:

Just not sure if they'll fit (i.e. how big is the cavity behind the factory speakers). Any advice?

cheers

Welcome aboard @alex47 !!
I believe that you are our first member from UAE.

I'm sure that your question will be answered shortly.

@alex47 Depth shouldn't be a problem, but you may have to enlarge the speaker openings, which can be challenging because of the location in relation to the seat backs. I know a couple guys did this (7.7 Inch Speakers) on their 210/230s and they are almost identical spacing around the speakers.

Great, thanks both. Will give it a go and report back.

I know the 7.7" JL Audio 770's will fit. And I am partial to the Fusion IP700i for a head unit. Welcome to the forum and good luck on the purchase and install!

Hey Alex47, also based in Abu Dhabi with a 2011 AR240, drop me a PM so we can get our boats on the water
