Gotta be the title. There's nothing essential to the boat that cost that much dough that can be kept onboard. Especially something that we all have, want or eventually get.

So I tried to pay my lender by phone this morning, from bed, and was told she couldn't take a payment for more than $5k. Personally I think she got it wrong somehow. So I ended up walking into a branch and writing a check instead, glad I did, I couldn't have laid in bed after that anyway. My feelings about boating just got a lot better, "No more boat payments, no more boats payments!"

Sorry it took so long for me to respond. I took my son shopping and we ended up with a pair of monster trucks (see pic).

Alright, question: am I just really good at this (I.e., Ronnie the Riddler / Riddle me this?) or do you guys suck? Lol, I'm kidding thanks again for participating.

@GTBRMC and @Murf'n'surf , no lottery jackpot for me unfortunately. I just discovered An investment I made and forgot about long ago. So Christmas / Bonus time came a little early this year. I've already ordered my big upgrades for me next year as well.

All is not roses though. Of the two rc trucks I got yesterday, mine was doa out of the box. I will exchange it for another one eventually but it kind of screwed up bonding time last night with my boy. We still had fun using and abusing his truck (jumping it off cardboard ramps, running over hot wheels, etc.) but it would have been better if my truck worked to. Currently though only his works and he has 5 spare batteries for it or alternatively he has a truck and 3 batteries whereas I just have 3 batteries. I didn't forget my wife in all of this. She found some Justin Timnerlake tickets she had to have so we ran out and grabbed them the other night, I'm sure there is more to come I'm just not sure what.

I can't express how happy I am to pay off the loan early. I started with a 15 year loan 2 years ago. Paid it down and refinanced to a 10 year loan about 1.5 years ago which brought my monthly payments down to $150 (on average I think I spend more than this to use the boat for a day). The thought of paying monthly for the another 8 to 13 years makes me cringe, especially during the off season when the only water to touch the boat is from the sky in the form of rain.

Anyway, I need to end this rant and figure out if I have a prize issue and how to fix it.

Congrats @Ronnie on paying off the loan. Your memory must be worse than mine. I havent forgot about where I've hidden/invested a single penny since I've been married. But that's probably because there aren't any of them laying around anymore

just paid off my wife's car a few years early and ran into that same $5k limit. My other banks bill pay had no trouble with it though. Car drives so much better now that it's mine.
