I'm getting some water on top of one plug when I try to reverse out of my lift. I'm thinking the plug seal is bad. Boat is a 2013.

They sell rebuild kits........I also have a 2013 SX240 and they need a lube like Silicon, Bees wax or White lithium grease. They also need to be washed and removed every outing. I use spray lithium and apply every month or so..... it protects the metal tubes from corrosion as well. Slightly messy. Hear is a pic of my 11 year old dry tubes after a 4 hr run on the salt water bay today........dry as a bone.

The water you are seeing is coming from the cleanout tray drain hose. Water is forced up thru the thruhull, hose and into the cleanout tray, while the boat is in reverse. Some have put a check valve in the hose to stop the water from making its way to the tray. You can plug the drain and test this. As far as lubricating the cleanout plug, there are many types of grease, however I found this swimming pool o ring grease to be the best to smear on the side of the plugs. I never had any plug sticking issues when I used this. Hayward SPX0327 Jack's Formula 1oz. 327 Multilube And it lasted longer than the silicone spray I tried before using the grease.
