That should work for you and you may be able to sell the ACR to someone else and offset the cost. But the link system will work great for what you want to do. I have had zero issues and the charger works great.

@2nazt Cancelled my order of the "add a battery" 7650 from West Marine, back ordered now until June 27. Just wanted to confirm with you all, that this smaller, 65amp, switch is suitable for the generator/alt. output of the MR-1s. Service manual indicates output is much less, but I like to confirm before I spend more money for the 7655. Thanks

@zipper I think it would be fine for the system as @Bruce would use it on his he stated. Mine is on my outboard and I verified output in the manual prior to ordering.

Bruce may be able to confirm I think he knows the specs.

65 amps is greater than the combined stator output.

@2nazt @Bruce Thank you, I believe each output is about 16a max each. One final question, what about the loads thru the switch? I have a Blue sea 6 pos +/- terminal block fed with 100a breaker, on it is my 30a kenwood, 20a trim tabs, marine radio and hummingbird 565 leaving 2 positions for future. The combined fuse total is close to 60A already. I just do not want to have issues with the switch down the road by adding more loads. Just not clear if 65amp rating is for ACR/charger only and switch can handle more? That is why I originally ordered the 120a switch/ACR combo. Thanks again.

The ACR should just be the charging output that matters. It shouldn't have an effect on what you are taking as a load. As long as the battery switch is rated for it you should be fine.

The larger 120 units are for high output/dual motor applications where some motors have an output already over 100amps each like the new G2 motors I think are 130amp output.

Thank You both @2nazt and @Bruce for your input. I looked up the specs for the switch and saw what I was looking for, 300amps continuous, ordering one of the 7655 kits now.
