I am looking at picking up a used boat lift for a 2018 212 Ltd S. Boat dry weight is stated at 3600# and when you add fluids I suspect that puts it right under 4000#. There are lifts rated at 4000# but that's really close. Anyone gone through this and if so, what did you decide and how is it working out.

Lift types in consideration are vertical and cantilever lifts for freshwater in Michigan that need to be removed each year for the winter.

Thank you in advance.

While I have not gone threw that situation I wouldn't recommend getting a 4K lift. I'd say get a 6K at a minimum.

If you go 6k you’ll be all set if you want to get a bigger boat someday.
