Boat Name?

SUN of SOUNDS or Boaty Mcboatface someone tell him the real story about that if he hasn't heard it.

LOL. Thanks. I did not know the back story...but now I do!

Long names work. image.jpeg

I'm not 100% sure. I'll check the next time I have the boat out, which will probably be this weekend.

Until then, for reference, the "BAMAHA" is about 20" long and 3" high.

I know I am going to catch a lot of heat for this opinion (mind you it is just an opinion) but I was struggling with a name for my boat for a while and just could not come up with something I liked. I came to the realization that it is a recreation boat under 25' and personally felt naming something in that category would not work for me. Just like that tattoo (nothing against a nice tattoo) I almost got in the Navy that would have emblazoned my high school sweetheart across my upper arm-good idea at the time but after two marriages (no I did not marry her), I am sort of glad I passed out drunk before I was up in the chair and my shipmates were nice enough to haul me back to the ship and throw me up in my bunk-and yes I was surprised I did not end up with a tattoo on my forehead or a tramp stamp.

So you might want to think about personalizing your craft with mods, graphics or a great detail and wax job and leave her nameless.

I figured it's not permanent, so it's not going to hurt anything, if I ever sell it I'll just peel the stickers off...my son likes seeing it there since it was mostly his idea for the name.

One difference is the stickers can be removed. Our first boat that we purchased was named "Boats 'N Hoes". Needless to say we would not have purchased it if we could not remove that name. It did not look good cruising around with our family in the boat named "Boats 'N Hoes".

Well JetBoaters.net friends I changed directions totally. My wife basically nixed the "Sound Hounds" idea....too aggressive for her, lol....plus the length was a little bit of a problem in that I wanted it in the back between the seats, so we settled for"Castaway'. Back story is we already have a rental cottage in Hilton Head named the same so now we have Castaway by land and by Sea. It's sort of a play on our last name Castor. Yes I know corny, but here it is official!
