Hey guys and girls,
I’ve been a lurker on this forum for awhile, I owned a sea doo speedster sk in the past but sold in 2013. I was boatless since then until I brought this home today! I am unbelievably excited and can’t wait for this Wisconsin weather to warm up. 0DD8061D-53C9-486A-9B77-DB057D3D8E10.jpeg

Congratulations! New boats are the BEST!

Shoot ne a message if you're after any gear and I'll hook you up with some food discounts.

Thanks! Only my second boat and first brand new although I had my sea doo for 6 years or so. I almost pulled the trigger on a 212x about 10 years ago and have been drooling over Yamahas since.

My AR240 is my fist boat. I bought it new in 2016 and it is my favorite toy by a long shot. So much fun! Life goal achieved!

My first recommendation (maybe you've already seen it discussed here since you've been lurking?) Is to change your bow roller. The stock hard plastic ones will scuff your bow. Search the word "Stoltz" on the forum and you'll find the right product info.

Yes I have seen that and thank you for the recommendation. I found it funny after after I’ve seen the posts on here then found this like Yamaha knows they suck. image.jpg

Congrats on the new boat. Looks awesome.

Sweet! Congrats and welcome to the forum :Welcome: !!! Tons of great info here and helpful peoples to help keep you safe and on the water. We're also good at helping you spend $$. Get ready for some DIY mods. Please share pictures when you take her out on the water. Enjoy...

Welcome fellow 'Sconi! Stevens Point here. Love the new boat. We're picking ours up this Saturday. Planning on a lot of our standard WI River boating, however going to get to the Fox River / Winnebago area a few times as well. Maybe we'll see you on the water!

Welcome... and congrats on a beautiful boat! :winkingthumbsup"[flag]:Welcome:

Looks like this weekend might be a nice one! Nice boat! Wisconsin putting in docks? I usually launch in Pepin and haven't seen any in yet.

All the launches by me have been open and docks in the water for a few weeks

Docks are in on the Point/Plover area of the WI river. We'll be on the Chain of Lakes in Waupaca this Saturday!

Any info or tips for boating Lake Pepin? We're in the Twin Cities and would like to check it out. I've always boated the lakes around here with friends, but now that we have our own boat, I would like to explore the rivers more. Can you tube/ski there or is it more for cruising?

Thanks!

Depends on the weather. During the week I would say no problem. Usually I can find a calm spot and get the kids tubing during the weekend. But at times if the winds are howling it definitely can be a monster. A few places down by Wabasha that we go to the back waters and tube. Nice sand bars as well.

Congrats and welcome! I launched at Racine once last year in September, will DEFINITELY be doing it a few more times this year.

In the harbor? I'm a little nervous about Lake Michigan and usually stick to inland lakes
