buy 24 limited E or 242X e series?

what's the reverse issue? Sounds like you are saying if you are going 5mph, popping into reverse to slow down does work?

More like if you are going 25mph. With the new electric throttles, the computer limits the reverse to something like 4k rpms when the boat is moving. It is likely so you can't slam them from forward to reverse and push the bow of the boat underwater without meaning to. But it also means that you have limited reverse thrust if you really needed it to stop or reverse out of the way of something.

that doesn't seem like a huge deal to me, I have only used reverse going rather slowly. It seems like that is a software thing that can be easily changed if Yamaha deems it an issue.
