Catastrophic Failure... (pic heavy)

Sorry I didn't notice this post. I'll try to remember to take some photos tomorrow and post them.
Okay. Here are a series of photos with the aftermarket cover which was priced at $179 when I bought it July 2013. The only issue is (as I've shown in a couple of photos) the cover doesn't quite make it in a few spots. Otherwise it is 100% waterproof.

I added two vents because it was air tight. Then I added two poles under the vents to keep the rain from pooling in the summer. I'll use the Yamaha OEM strap+pole anti-pooling set for winter rains (should we have ANY rain in CA).

It is a little bit of a pain to put on because of all of the straps but I only do it at home (would not trailer with this cover) and it just takes 10 minutes or so to put it on. Once the straps were initially adjusted, and I know where to put them, the pain subsided.

The whole cover view.

Great coverage. You can see the vent on top, held up high by one of the poles. That vent is in the cockpit.

Here's the area that doesn't cover. I usually pull this side down to cover and let the port side be more exposed because the port side is always in the shade in my yard.

More than ample coverage on the bow. Here you can see the second vent in the bow seating area, held up by a second free standing pole.

Port side bow.

And port side rear where you can see the lack of coverage again.

I would agree there is ample room for the bow!

Thanks for posting these pictures. I don't know if I will do the same, but it does have me thinking.
