While on vacation I noticed some cavitation when taking off quick. Upon looking I found what looked to be ground cover. This was only half of what I pulled out.

That must have caused a lot of cavitation!
 
Oddly enough was only on hard acceleration when it was noticed.
Never got much above 15mph as we were in Apalachicola Bay FL. Tide was going out and was really rough.

I should of noticed as RPMs were higher then normal.

That is something. I don't like cavitation problems that I read about since some people can't seem to solve it. Glad to hear you found your problem.
 
I try to keep an eye on the gauges and specs for mpg vs rpm vs mph. Wife hates spending $$ on gas so I tend to make sure everything is right.

Though fortunally the plastic stuff was easy to figure out.
 
Wow! I have pulled lots of things out of my cleanout ports, but never a flashlight and a Leatherman! Cavitation indeed!
