Cavitation issue

Can you explain exactly where this wax goes? Are we talking about the clean out plugs? Do I add it when the plug is locked down in place? So no wax touches the plug outside diameter right? If it did I think the plug would not be able to be removed and reinstalled. Thanks

Goes on the plug seal. It's purpose is to fill any irregular spots/gaps on the rubber seal. You're not putting it on thick enough to permanently seal. With mine, it's just as easy to remove as before.

My story finally has an ending. I got my boat back yesterday and the dealer replaced the housing and impeller. I'm still puzzled as to how such a tiny tiny bend in the impeller could've caused my issue when I've send pics of impellers with very obvious damage.

Looks like @2kwik4u called it when he had circled the following spot. I hadn’t really looked that closely before but upon review I can see the ding and the grooves in the wear sleeve.

So some captain obvious stuff here… you grounded your boat and after that it started cavitating. The clean out plug seal and the tunnel sealing had nothing to do with your problem, there was no evidence of damage anywhere on the these items. There was however a ding in one blade which is some serious foreign object damage, damage to the leading edge of another blade, and there was some heavy scoring on the wear sleeve which was indeed your problem.

Yay, I got one right :D :D

Second thought. I've yet to see a plug sealing issue be the cause of cavitation. I see a LOT of people asking about water on top of the plugs, and the general consensus is that it is somehow "leaking by". I've yet to see this be the case. The water on the plugs come from backflow through the drain hose in the cleanout tray. When you're in rough water, or when you come off plane water runs up against the stern and provides enough pressure to backflow into the tray. The plug hole (yea, I said it) is just where it accumulates.
